How should you care for knitwear?

Knitwear requires special care due to the nature of its weave. And the quickest way to permanently ruin its shape is to hang it on regular hangers.

Under their own weight, the loops in the knit fabric will inevitably stretch out. As a result, you’ll end up with misshapen shoulders, stretched-out sleeves, and a ruined silhouette. Regular hangers are strictly off-limits for knitwear.

How should you properly care for your favorite items?

• Fold them carefully. Sweaters, cardigans, and suits are best stored folded on shelves or in drawers.

• Let them breathe. Don’t pack items too tightly. Knitwear needs air to keep the fibers voluminous and soft.

• Roll them up. If shelf space is limited, knitwear can be carefully rolled into loose rolls—this way, they’re sure to stay crease-free.

Take good care of your clothes, and they’ll keep you warm for many years to come, retaining their original couture look.
